In the 90-ies Mayte Mateos and one of her friends Cristina Sevilla formed a new band and called it Baccara 2000. They performed at a few festivals, released a couple of albums, although the partnership wasn’t truly successful. At the same time Maria Mendiola created her. Mayte Mateos' Baccara

Baccara byla španělskápopulární hudební skupina složená ze dvou členek, Mayte Mateos (* 7. února1951) a María Mendiola (* 4. dubna1952). Byla velmi úspěšná hlavně v sedmdesátých a osmdesátých letech 20. století. Jejich hudba je směsí stylů diska, folku a popu, zpívají anglicky s typickým španělským přízvukem. Proslavily se hlavně skladbami „Yes Sir, I Can Boogie“ a „Sorry, I'm A Lady“.

1. Baccara is a famous pop duo from Spain, having gained the greatest popularity in the 80s. The band's name comes from a special rose type, which also became a symbol of the duo. The band was formed in the early '70s, when two talented girls Mayte Mateus.
